Trying Is the First Step
More often than not, people attach importance to the great results, ignoring the process of the attempts on the way to success. However, it is our courage to make an attempt that makes a difference.
I’d like to share my personal experience with you. Afraid of water, I hadn’t taken up swimming until last summer, when somehow I wanted to have a try. Encouraged by my parents, I signed up for a summer course. Initially, each time I jumped into the pool and tried hard to move my arms and legs, I failed to float my body. Instead of dropping out, I made up my mind to have another try. As a result of many successful failures, I not only got the hang of swimming, but also experienced the great pleasure of taking a dip in cold water on a hot summer day.
The experience has taught me a precious lesson that trying is the first step to our destination. So try something new bravely and you will find yourself achieving what you deserve.
尝试是第一步
通常情况下，人们会重视伟大的结果，忽视了通往成功的道路。然而，我们有勇气去做一种尝试，这是有意义的。
我想和你分享我的个人经历。由于害怕水，我直到去年夏天才开始游泳，那时我想尝试一下。在父母的鼓励下，我报名参加了一个暑期班。开始的时候，每次我跳进游泳池，使劲挪动我的胳膊和腿，我的身体都没能浮起来。我没有放弃，而是下定决心再试一次。由于许多成功的失败，我不仅有了游泳的窍门，而且还体验到了在炎热的夏日里泡冷水的.乐趣。
这次经历教会了我一个宝贵的教训：尝试是到达目的地的第一步。所以，勇敢地尝试新事物，你会发现自己得到了你应得的。
